Gears 5

Bound by Blood

Gears 5 is the next installment in the critically acclaimed Gears of War series.

Gears 5 includes new characters, new game modes, new weapons, and new enemies. It's a modern update to a much loved franchise.

I've been on this project since the very early prototyping phase.

-Work cooperatively with the voice actors and voice director to ensure that all recorded audio assets were awesome!

Gears 4

Never Fight Alone

Gears 4 is the first new title for the Gears of War franchise on Xbox One and the first new title developed by The Coalition.

​

Gears 4 brings a new cast to the fore after jump starting the franchise 25 years (Seran years!) after the end of Gears of War 3. It includes a full sized story based campaign, Horde Mode 3.0 and, of course, a full suite of PVP modes.

I joined this project just after Alpha, and stayed on through completion. I was also worked on 14 monthly content updates post launch.

Walking Dead: Road to Survival

A Decision and Story Based Mobile RPG set in the Walking Dead Graphic Novel's Universe.

​

Walking Dead: Road to Survival is a Mobile RPG with a heavy focus on descision based story telling.

 

The Player takes on the role of a survivor in the Town of woodbury run by the governor. The player meets the iconic characters form the graphic novels like Rik, Michonne, and Tyreese. 

 

Mechanics include two different styles of combat: one against walkers and one against other survivors. Combat includes turn based fights with standard 1 to 1 targetting, items and item crafting, unique special attacks, leadership characters, Factions, and PVP combat tournaments among others.

 

Walking Dead: Road to Survival was developed for the Android and iOS platforms.

Rage of the Immortals is a mobile social style RPG set in a dystopian future.



Rage of the Immortals throws the player into a the role of a lost individual with no memories who must work with a band of rebels living on the outskirts of society to survive.  In this world, special individuals have the ability to manipulate the 5 elements when they fight giving them incredible powers!

 

Help the rebels build up a powerful society while discovering your own dark past and unlocking never before seen powers.

 

Rage of the Immortals was developed for the Android and iOS platforms.



PERSONAL ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Narrative Designer

I was on this project from pre-production to gold-master and for 12 full updates.

-Create and develop story elements and NPCs.

-Writing all dialogue and quests for 250 stages, dozens of side quests, and weekly quests and events.

-Design and implement complex gameplay features such as Guilds, Shop Systems and the Tutorial System.

-Design, coordinate and maintain all live ops events; approximately 5 events per week.

Battle Hackers

Cyber combat in the not so distant future.

Battle Hackers is a sci-fi social mobile RPG for the Android platform.  The player creates a team of of programs that you can train and level up to create a competitive and powerful combat force for PVE, PVP and Epic Boss combat.

 

Battle hackers is a narrative driven game that pits the player against cyber criminals in a bid to discover how they found their way to this strange cyber space and ultimately save the world from the evil Chronos.

FALLING TO PIECES IS A GOOD THING!

Unity is a game for PC developed in Unity 4.0.



Fragment is a first person stealth action game in a Sci-Fi setting.  The player takes on the role of Subject0012, a patient under experimentation, who must use his strange new found powers to escape the facility.



Among others the player has the ability to split off one of their alternate personalities in order to put themselves in 2 places at once.

Student Project from VFS.

Pirates of Snow Island

A fun and educational experience for preschoolers.

​

Pirates of Snow Island is a game developed for iOS in Unity 3.3.



Preschoolers can explore a vibrant 2D world where they can interact with many characters and objects to help themselves get a head start on learning the alphabet.



Fun music and charming characters help to make this an enjoyable experience that children will want to come back to again and again.

Blood Arms

Racing Just Evolved!

Blood Arms is developed for PC in Unity 3.3.



Blood Arms is a student project based out of the University of Lethbridge that I was privileged enough to be a part of.  Blood Arms is a high speed combat racing game where the player tries to gain control of transport vehicle carrying a deadly biological weapon before it reaches its destination.

Side scrolling, bomb dropping action!

Bombs Away is developed in Flash/AS3 for PC and web.



Bombs Away is a side scrolling bomb dropping fun-fest where the player controls a small fleet of ships as they tear their way through earth's defenders in an effort to face and defeat earth's mightiest champion!



This was the first project I worked on at VFS during my year there.  It was produced with a 3 person team over 2 months while doing classes.
